Shaped by Hand, BY Lisa Sanasi.

Lisa’s work expresses the organic richness of her coastal and Bouddi National Park surrounds. She creates forms that are both functional and sculptural - every piece a one off production, handmade in her small scale Killcare studio on the East Coast of Australia.

Each of Lisa’s pieces is uniquely handbuilt, shaped slowly and intentionally. With a quiet attention to detail, her work captures different seasons and cycles.

where clay meets coastline.

Lisa’s work is inspired by the organic and geometric patterns of the natural world. Her handbuilt pieces pay homage to the undulating lines of the coastline, the silhouettes of angophora trees, and the imperfect symmetry of it all. Each form created is a reflection of her surroundings - sculptural, grounded, and deeply connected to home.

“There’s a quiet WISDOM in working with clay - it ASKS you to slow down, to listen, to let the MEDIUM guide you. Each piece REPRESENTS A UNIQUE MOMENT IN TIME.”
